Evolution or Inteligent Design?
In 1859 Charles Darwin published a novel in theory of Evolution. Within those last years this theory has been questioned. Darwin’s theory of Evolution proposed that human has evolved from a low species of mammal such as a primate. One of the alternate idea to evolution is creation of man or Intelligent Design which says that a higher spirit created man and brought them to earth. Society has had many views and disagreements on these subjects being taught in school. In some cases the matter has gotten to a point were they had to go to court.
The idea of evolution started when Erasmus Darwin ( Charles Darwin’s Grandfather ) suggested that man became from a lower order of animals. Charles took this idea into consideration and did many studies and then published a novel. Many schools have controversy about whether or not this subject should be taught in classes. The Dover High School in Pennsylvania was forced into reading a one minute statement on Intelligent design to counterpoint too evolution. Some of the parents and staff of Dover High School did not agree to this statement being read.
The parents and Staff felt that intelligent design was not a science of that said, should not be taught in the ninth grade science class. An anonymous downer sent copies of a book called Of Pandas and People which is a text book about intelligent design. The parents and Staff called a court trial to prove that Intelligent Design is not a science.
Sometimes the decision of which you believe in is based on your religion or off your parents and families beliefs. It is important to have an idea on which one you believe to be able to express your beliefs. There is not 100% factual way to prove wether or not evolution exists. Some fossil records have been found which have some prof of evolution. I doesn’t matter wether you believe in evolution all that matters is that you have an opinion.
