The suspects were quarantined in the police office until they could bring in the Chromatography experts to investigate the notes that the suspects had at the time of the crime. The suspects were contained at the police station for 4 hours so they were not released until 2:00pm that afternoon. Around 10:30 am the Tcsnmy Chromatography experts arrived at the police station to investigate the crime. They cut up pieces of the letters and dipped them into rubbing alcohol until the ink ran and you could see the different colors it took to make the black ink.
After a half hour or this process the chromatography experts established that the crime was committed by two of the suspects. The suspects were growing anxious as the chromatographers did their jobs. After another hour the experts knew who one of the criminals was. It was Joyce Ann Perrin the house mother. She was quickly moved to a separate containment area while the other waited to find out who the other criminal was. The experts were working as quickly as they could without being careless. Around 2 o’clock that afternoon the experts found out that Reggie was the other criminal in the crime. He was arrested and the other witnesses of the crime were let go.
